The Anne Frank Trust are a wonderful UK charity that take workshops into schools to teach positive attitudes, respect for others and encourage young people to challenge prejudice and hatred. Last year they organised the most wonderful fundraising Ladies Day Out , and for the second one on May 17th I am taking part with a whole load of other first rate therapists . Whether you can make the whole day or just 2 or 3 hours, do come along as its going to be spectacular !!!
The magnificent private country house, in Bushey Heath, is beautiful in a relaxed way and set in the most exquiste grounds with an outdoor/indoor pool, tennis courts, a lake, a small farm with shetland ponies and vast amounts of lawn with various eating areas . We make the indoor pool area and games room into treatment suites (one quiet , one for “talking” therapies) , the cinema is used for seminars , and the reception rooms used for Pilates and Yoga !!! Although last year the weather was so fabulous so it all ended up in the garden !! The kitchen is filled with delicious food all day for everyone (therapists and guests) to help themselves . New this year we have some exclusive shopping stalls in a marquee and Daniel Hersheson will be setting up a blow dry bar. Feedback from guests last year ranged from “spectacular” to “a great way to find some amazing therapists”
The list of what’s on offer regarding treatments is amazing , whether you like holisitic massage , lymph drainage, aromatherapy, reiki, or want to try out the latest “10 years younger” machine technology, have your metabollism tested , you can try anything and everything! There is also the chance on the day’s raffle to win a weeks holiday for 6 people in a Morroccan Riad or a weekend house party for 10 in The Cotswolds
