On Sunday  September 28th my family and I will be taking part in the 10k memory walk at Victoria park to raise money for the Alzheimer’s society

 

Some of you are aware that our dad has Dementia – thankfully its stable and so he is a lot more independent. The Alzheimer’s society have offered help for the family by taking him on activities such as bowling and offered help to the family.

We’re doing this walk to support the work of the Alzheimer’s society and make people aware of the charity as a lot of people suffer in silence without realising there is help and support out there. This is a fantastic charity – but it can only continue its great work through the help of donations.

All of the money we raise will help support people living with dementia and their families, so your donation will make a huge difference.
Just £50 will pay for someone with dementia to go to a Dementia Café session every week for a month, where they can meet others, share experiences and feel less isolated. And the more we raise, the bigger the difference it will make.
